Monte Rosa Glacier
Aescher Mountain Restaurant
This image was taken in Bagan during a beautiful sunset. The myst and the sunlight lead to a surreal templescape picture. I really enjoyed being there.
We took this image inside a temple in Bagan. It was an amazing photo setup in a dark temple with only some few sunbeams to illuminate the old man smoking his cigarette.
Grand Canyon Storm
On this sunset, after many days with just blue skies, we headed to our planned view point on the Grand Canyon South Rim to take some pictures. When we arrived, we saw dark clouds coming towards us in direction of the canyon. After getting wet, the storm went into the canyon, and the mood was amazing with the dark clouds, rain in the canyon and colors from the setting sun. I will never forget this moment.
The Old Man of Storr
Lago di Saoseo
Grand Canyon Storm
This picture was done on the same day as in the picture above, but in the opposite direction of the canyon. It was an amazing sunset that I will never forget.
The church of Budir, a famous and the only black one in Iceland. I loved to have the church in the foreground with this dramatic dark clouds.
Marvellous night in the desert of Utah, Arches National Park. I was alone in the whole area and it was so beautiful to look to the stars. With my torch, I lightened the rocks to take this photo.
Eilean Donan Castle
I was waiting 3 hours to capture this picture right after sunset on the coast of Dyrholaey, close to the nice village Vik i Myrdal. I had to take lots of picture to be able to have a leading line of the waves to the rock.
Neist Point Lighthouse
On our whole trip through Alberta and British Columbia in Canada, we wanted to photograph bald eagles. We did not see any of them in Banff or Jasper. After heading to Vancouver Island, we finally found some bald eagles.
Waterfall of the Gods
Godafoss, an impressive waterfall in the North of Iceland. On this sunset, I was lucky that there were some colors from the sunset as it was very cloudy on that evening.
This image was taken on a cloudy day on the Southwest coast of Iceland. I loved that scenery, but I had to climb over some wet stones to get to this point and I had to watch for high waves in order to not get wet.
On this beautiful morning at Inle Lake, Myanmar, we organized three Intha Fishermen to pose on their boats. when the sun raised, I was able to get this amazing shot.
This picture was taken in Jökulsarlon Glacier Lagoon during the blue hour. It just looked wonderful. I loved the atmosphere there.
This picture was taken at Jökulsarlon Glacier Lagoon in the Southern part of Iceland during the blue hour. At this time, the water was flowing outside the lagoon into the sea. A very cool and cold evening!
Mesa Arch Sunrise
For this picture I went up to Mesa Arch at 2'o clock in the morning in order to be the first photographer at this spot as I wanted to chose my exact location. I love this picture with the rising sun and the red glowing rock. What a wonderful morning...
Clouds over Monument Valley
Crazy weather in Monument Valley. After days of clear skies, we were so excited when dark clouds came in direction to the Monument Valley. It's so different mood compared to the usual pictures with blue sky.
Valley of the ten Peaks
One of my favorite location in Western Canada, Moraine Lake and the valley of the ten peaks. We have been there four times so that we were able to capture pictures in different light conditions.
Same location, different look. It is a totally different mood compared to the picture above. I love this place.
A girl in traditional outfit praying in a temple in Mrauk U, Myanmar. Mrauk U is an archaeologically important town in Northern Rakhine State, Myanmar.
By far my favorite beach in Maui, Hawaii. Together with an amazing sunset and the incoming waves, I was able to capture this image. It looks like paradise, and it is really paradise... Luckily, it's not so obvious to get there, so only few people know this place.
Phraya Nakhon Cave
The magnificent Phraya Nakhon Cave is one of the most mystical and mysterious landmarks of Thailand but only a few travellers get a chance to get there. This gold and green pavilion is hidden inside a hard to reach cave and only a handful of visitors will do the effort to visit it. Those who do are rewarded with a stunning vision that looks like it's straight out of an Indiana Jones movie.
I exactly arrived there when the sun beams hit the temple. After this spectacle I went back to the car, seeing some tourists on the way to the cave, after the spectacle. Being there at the right time is key!
A typical traditional longtail boat on an amazing morning in Krabi, Thailand.
